SUNRISE is an invitation to rebirth, a song for two bodies. It inhabits that precise moment between sleep and wakefulness, when time and reality begin to merge with the world of dreams.
The two performers move through this suspended dimension, between fragility and protection, surrender and control. Rational thought mingles with the visions of Morpheus in a continuous flow, as time passes, transforms and consumes. Yet something deeper struggles to emerge: the desire to live, to love, and to dance again.
SUNRISE is a poetic reflection on the cyclical nature of existence and on the possibility, both individual and collective, of beginning again.
Dedicated with immense gratitude to choreographer, mentor and friend Ismael Ivo, who passed away the 9th of April 2021.
