TROPICI
La seule manière d’habiter le monde, c’est de le contempler
Claude Lévi-Strauss, "Tristes Tropiques" (1955)
TROPICI evokes something distant and mysterious: the desire to reach what is unknown, unexplored, or imagined.
Built from a personal archive of static landscape videos collected over the years, TROPICI unfolds as an apparently endless sequence of sunrises and sunsets, where each new horizon reshapes the way we see the next.
Clara Cafiero's dance, Francesco Cocco's live spatial manipulation of the scenography, and an electronic concert performed live by Paul Bießmann compose the ever-changing environment.
TROPICI is a journey through an unknown world. A search for ourselves within it. It reflects on exploration, displacement, and perception, reminding us that to observe the world is already to alter it.
